Plant ETP General Assembly 2023

This year’s Plant ETP General Assembly took place on 17th April at the COPA-COGECA offices in Brussels.

In addition to the regular agenda, the new Board for the next three-year term was elected.

In the afternoon a workshop looking at the “Farming for the Future in the EU context” was held. Speakers included Tassos Haniotis, retired from EU Commission DG AGRI, providing the keynote speech on shifts in Global Agricultural Markets and Food Security, followed by perspectives from farmers Max Schulman (Finland) and Pedro Gallardo (Spain) highlighting the challenges farmers are facing across Europe and the opportunities that need to be unlocked, finishing with Benjamin Laga, CEO of Protealys, highlighting the potential of EU-grown soy for more sustainable agri-food systems.
